Polyurethane Curing Agent DMTDA, ETHACURE 300
Introduction of polyurethane curing agent
Waterborne polyurethane curing agents are mainly based on TDI, HDI, IPDI and other isocyanate monomers. Hydrophilic modification by polyether or sulfonate is easier to disperse in water. It can improve the performance of waterborne hydroxy polyurethane prepolymer/acrylate mixtures, especially hydroxy acrylate mixtures.
This waterborne polyurethane coating uses a special polyisocyanate crosslinking agent, that is, a prepolymer containing (-nco) terminal isocyanate, which is dispersed in various hydroxyl-containing polymers after hydrophilic treatment to form a waterborne polyurethane coating . It can be cured with various aqueous hydroxy polymer dispersions at room temperature.

Application
Waterborne polyurethane curing agents are crosslinking agents used in waterborne systems, from which reliable incorporation and high chemical resistance are required. Despite its relatively low hydrophilicity, the hardener can be easily dispersed in the water phase even under low shear forces such as commonly found in industrial applications. Coatings formulated with this product can produce films with high gloss and extremely low haze. The increase in the typical viscosity of the hardener (especially ionized hydrophilic polyol dispersion) during mixing can be controlled by pre-dilution with water or a small amount of organic co-solvent.
