Properties
Greyish-white to light yellow powder or granule with slightly bitter taste, nonpoisonous. Specific gravity:1 .47-1.55.Melting point: over 164’℃. Soluble in chloroform, insoluble in gasoline, water and ethyl acetate. Stable in storage.
Application
The product is an accelerator of NR and SR. It has level and middle cure rate and higher Vulcanization temperature. It operates safely, disperses easily and does not contaminate. It is aging resistant. Mainly used in manufacture of tires, rubber tubes, rubber shoes, rubber cloth and other technical rubber goods. Accelerator MBTS works as plasticizer and delayed action activator in polychloroprene.
