3. Characteristics and Applications
Trimethylhydroxyethyl ethylenediamine is a colorless to light yellow transparent liquid that is easily soluble in water.
Trimelhylhydroxyelhyl ethylenediamine is a low odor reactive foam catalyst used primarily in polyether polyurethane soft foam catalysts, molded foams, semi-hard foams, and hard foams, and is particularly recommended for automotive foams. As a non-dispersive amine catalyst, it is used to promote urea(isocyanate-water) reaction, because it contains active hydroxyl, so it is easy to react into the polymer matrix. It can also be used in soft and rigid polyurethane systems where smooth reaction properties are desired.
