4. Applying 827
Stirring: Before use, thoroughly stir the adhesive as some settling may occur. Stir until the mixture is uniform. If the application process is lengthy, stir at high speed for 3-5 minutes every 2 hours to maintain consistency.
Dilution: Dilution can be done by adding the recommended solvent (xylene) based on the application method. Diluted adhesive should be used immediately and not stored.
Application Methods:
Coating Thickness:
Drying: Allow to dry at room temperature for approximately 40-60 minutes. Forced drying can expedite the process.
Storage: Store in a dry, cool area away from high humidity and extreme temperatures.
Adhesive Removal: Wipe off excess adhesive with a rag soaked in xylene before curing. Once cured, the adhesive cannot be removed by solvent.
Curing: For optimal bonding performance, cure the rubber and adhesive simultaneously. The part should be quickly placed in the molding die, followed by the addition of rubber and clamping to cure. Actual curing conditions depend on the rubber compound used.
