WANNATE 8221 is a mixture of diphenylmethane diisocyanate and polyphenylmethane polyisocyanate. It is suitable for production of high resilience foam, sound insulation foam.

WANNATE 8221 is a reactive chemical that readily reacts with atmospheric moisture, leading to the formation of insoluble ureas and carbon dioxide gas. This reaction can cause pressure build-up in sealed containers and an increase in the product's viscosity. Therefore, containers must be completely dry and tightly sealed under a nitrogen blanket after use.

WANNATE 8221 should be stored in tightly closed containers indoors at ambient temperatures (15–25 °C) in a well-ventilated area. Storage at low temperatures (below 10 °C) may result in crystallization. The material must be protected from frost. If crystallization occurs, it should be melted by heating to 70–80 °C, ensuring that localized overheating is strictly avoided. After melting, the material should be thoroughly agitated before use.

5. Shelf Life

Under recommended storage conditions, the shelf life of WANNATE 8221 is six months. If the production is overdue, but it’s main physical and chemical properties in the guide line, may not effect on it’s using properties.
