High Elasticity Vulcanized Rubber to Metal Bonding Agent 829GB As Wire Insulation Tire
(Equivalent to Chemlok 6411, Chemosil 411, Cilbond 80E, Megum 538/128)
1. Description
Rubber to metal bonding agent 829GB is a multifunctional adhesive suitable for bonding various elastomer
compounds to substrates during the vulcanization process as a cover coat adhesive. It is formulated without
heavy metals and composed of a mixture of polymers, organic compounds and mineral fillers dissolved or
dispersed in an organic solvent system.
This adhesive system will bond compounds based on natural rubber (NR), polyisoprene (IR),
styrene-butadiene (SBR), polybutadiene (BR), polychloroprene (CR) and nitrile (NBR), butyl (IIR) and EPDM
polymers to metal.
2. Purpose
Surface treatment agent used for bonding rubber to metal as a cover coat.
3. Applicable Range
Used as a cover coat adhesive and in combination with a primer adhesive, suitable for the following types of
rubber:
Natural rubber (NR), Natural & butadiene rubber (NR+BR), Polyisoprene rubber (IR), Butadiene rubber (BR),
Chloroprene rubber (CR), Styrene butadiene rubber (SBR), Nitrile butadiene rubber (NBR), Butyl rubber (IIR),
EPDM, etc.
4. Features and Benefits
Environmentally friendly. Compliant with GB 33372-2020.
Free of heavy metal elements.
Suitable for vulcanized rubber.
Good resistance to pre-baking.
Excellent weather resistance - heat resistance, water resistance, solvent resistance, oil resistance, salt spray
resistance, corrosion resistance.
5. Performance

7. Instructions for use
Stirring: During the storage process of 829GB, some sediment will settle at the bottom of the container.
Before painting, it must be thoroughly stirred to achieve uniform mixing before use. If the painting process is
long, stir at high speed for 5-10 minutes every 2 hours.
Diluting: This product can also be diluted with diluents according to actual operational needs. It is
recommended to dilute according to the amount used. Diluted products should not be stored for a long time.
Brush coating method: no dilution is required.
Roller coating method: no dilution is required.
Dip: 100 parts of 829GB and 10-30 parts of diluent.
Spray method: 100 parts of 829GB and 20-40 parts of diluent.
Coating: This product can be coated by brushing, dipping, roller coating, spraying, and other methods. The
processing layer should be uniform to avoid excessive overflow.
Cover coating: Dry film thickness (DFT) 12-25μm, 20-25μm for harsh environment.
Drying: Drying at room temperature takes about 45-60 minutes, and forced drying can shorten the drying
time.
Product storage: This product needs to be stored in a dry room temperature environment to avoid prolonged
exposure to high humidity and high temperature environments.
Cleaning: Before heating vulcanization, dip a rag in xylene solvent to remove excess treatment agent spilt
around. Once cured, solvent cannot be removed.
Vulcanization: Vulcanization of rubber and adhesive at the same time can obtain the best bonding properties.
When the coating is placed in the molding mold, it should be quickly filled with rubber vulcanization. The
actual curing condition depends on the curing condition of the rubber.
