2. Description
Polyether amine D-2000 is a member of polyamine family having repeat oxypropylene units in the backbone. It is a difunctional primary amine with an average molecular weight of about 2,000. Its amine groups are located on secondary carbon atoms at the ends of an aliphatic polyether chain. It is light in color and low in viscosity. Its vapor pressure is extremely low. Polyether amine D-2000 is completely miscible in a wide variety of solvents. It is, however, only slightly soluble in water.

4. Applications
Polyether amine D-2000 can reacts as typical primary amines. Due to its fast reacting nature with isocyanates, it has found wide use in polyurethane and polyurea applications. In addition, it has found application and inconjunction with other polyamines. D-2000 formulated systems exhibit enhanced peel strengths. Besides, an intriguing application for Polyether amine D-2000 is in epoxy systems for metal priming via cathodic electrodeposition.
(1) High performance composite materials: Polyether amine can be used as a high-performance curing agent for epoxy resins to produce high-strength and high toughness composite materials;
(2) Polyurea: As a key component of polyurea materials, it has been widely used in waterproofing systems for concrete structures such as high-speed railway bridges, cross sea bridges, dams, and large venues, and has demonstrated excellent performance;
(3) Coatings: With low viscosity, when applied to epoxy flooring or anti-corrosion coatings, it can reduce the amount of solvent used and lower the system viscosity;
(4) Adhesive: As a curing agent for epoxy resin, it has excellent toughness and fatigue resistance after complete curing, and is widely used in adhesives and structural adhesives;
(5) Jewelry: It has extremely light color and good resistance to yellowing, and can be used in jewelry manufacturing.
(6) Gasoline cleaner: It has excellent cleaning, dispersing, demulsification, corrosion inhibition, and antioxidant properties. It can suppress the formation of deposits in car fuel injectors, intake valves, and combustion chambers. Compared to polyisobutene amine based gasoline detergents, it not only does not generate deposits on its own, but also can remove existing CCD (deposits formed in the engine combustion chamber).
5. Safety
D-2000 has micro toxicity in oral administration; non-toxicity for skin absorption; weak irritation to skin, and strong irritation to eyes. Please use mask to protect the face when loading/unloading D-2000. If D-2000 contact the eyes accidentally, it is necessary to wash with water for at least 5 minutes, and conduct the required medical observation. Wash with water and soap in time if D-2000 contact with the skin.
